NFL Injury Updates October 31, 2010
Minnesota Vikings: league sources indicated that quarterback Brett Favre is likely to start in today's match-up against the New England Patriots. Favre suffered fractures in his left ankle and heel during a loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Jacksonville Jaguars: quarterback David Garrard suffered a concussion during a loss to the Tennessee Titans on October 18. A team official said the Garrard has suffered no complications and will be active for today's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
St. Louis Rams: RB Steven Jackson will be play against the Carolina Panthers, only six days after having surgery on a broken ring finger on his left hand.
San Francisco 49ers: TE Vernon Davis will be active for the London, England game against the Denver Broncos, after taking a limited role in Friday's practice with an injured ankle. The 49ers are also starting Troy Smith at quarterback, filling in for an injured Alex Smith.
Denver Broncos: Veteran safety Brian Dawkins return to the Bronco's lineup against San Francisco after missing the last two games with a knee injury. The Broncos will also be without third string quarterback Brady Quinn.
Green Bay Packers: The Packer's injury troubles continue this week against the New York Jets, as they enter Sunday's contest without two key lineman. OT Mark Tauscher and DT Ryan Pickett will not play due to shoulder and ankle injuries. DE Cullen Jenkins returns to the Packer's lineup after missing one game with a calf injury.
Cincinnati Bengals: An injury depleted secondary will face off against the Miami Dolphins without three defensive backs. Jonathan Joseph, Roy Williams and Chinedum Ndukwe are listed as unavailable, sustaining ankle and knee injuries.
Washington Redskins: a host of players have been listed as active by team sources for Sunday's road game against the Detroit Lions. OT Jammal Brown, TE Chris Cooley, CB DeAngelo Hall, QB Donovan McNabb, FB Mike Sellers, and LB Brian Orakpo are amongst those available.
